In 2016 the Cedar Creek Winery won the best Canadian White wine priced more than 15£ at the Decanter World Wine Awards for their 2014 Platinum Block 3 Riesling (95 points).
This producer has also been awarded the prize of “Canada’s Winery of the Year” twice by Wine Access Magazine.
The Cedar Creek Vineyard is divided into 3 distinct parcels :
- Cedar Creek – a 20 hectare parcel planted to Pinot Noir, Merlot, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Riesling and Ehrenfelser on clay, lime, and sand soils.
- Desert Ridge – a 10 hectare parcel planted to Merlot, Cabernet Sauvirnon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot on stoney soils.
- Haynes Creek – a pasture that was converted to vines in the 1940s. It is planted to 5 red Bordeaux varietals, Syrah, and Viognier.
